Prayer Guide – Week 23 (April 15-21)

CS Lewis writes it is always the small group of friends that change the world. SO with prayer. Revival takes place when a desperate group of people see the situation in their country and the state of their society and are deeply moved to pray.

They commit to praying. In the 1949 revival in Scotland a group of men met 3 times a week and determined to not give up till revival came. God answered their prayer.

As Caleb asked for the hard places so pray that in Japan there will be people who cry out, “Give me Japan or I die.”

Pray today that Christians would gather together across Japan, determined to not give up.

Ask now what God is asking you to do in praying for Japan.

Pray over Jesus words in John 17:21-23

^“ I pray that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”

Pray for this miracle of unity across the Church of Japan. Pray against division that would give the evil one even the lightest foothold.
Unity is hard earned. It is not easy.

Pray against those who would seek to work against unity. Those who can only think about their world and not the bigger world of the Kingdom
Pray for people to want the Kingdom to come to Japan and want to work together.

Celebrate where unity is happening across Japan. It may be only a small mustard seed but it will produce great impact.

Ask the Holy Spirit to come down to cities, towns and countryside and touch people’s hearts, convict them of sin and make then cry out. “What must I do to be saved?”

Many here in Japan are praying for 10 million believers across Japan. We know we need God to move and stir up Christians to pray and stir non-believers to reach out to the Father.

• God of all mercies and all comfort. You are always calling us out to yourself. In your mercy reveal your presence to Japan
• We pray you will call those to pray to see the nation changed.
• May your Glory fall in this land. May it go forth from here to other nations.
• May the system, may the land be transformed.
• Please bring unity amongst your people
• God have mercy on Japan.
• May the people who walk in darkness see a great light!
